Safety Patrol Personnel

OLS Consulting Group Inc. (OLSCGI) provides property safety patrol checks with our Safety Patrol personnel. Our Safety Patrol personnel ensure that our clients' properties, staff, guests, clients and assets are safe with regularly scheduled or random safety patrols.

Safety Patrol personel ensure the safety of property, people and assets by detecting:

- Physical Safety Hazards
- Environmental Safety Hazards
- Situational Safety Hazards
- Behavioral Safety Hazards
- Unauthorized Persons On-Site

Physical Safety Hazards

Our trained Safety Patrol personnel look out for physical safety hazards such as broken glass, metal or wood that may injure tenants, guests, clients and other people onsite, as well as other objects that may present hazards such as protruding nails, sharp edges, and vandalized property that has been rendered hazardous.

Environmental Safety Hazards

Our Safety Patrol personnel make note of environmental hazards on property such as water leaks, and chemical spills that may present hazards to clients, guests, tenants and other persons at the site.

Situational Safety Hazards

Our Safety Patrol personnel are always alert in case situational safety hazards arise, such as crimes being committed on property.  Criminals do not want to be caught, and as a result, they may present hazards by damaging property to escape, or by becoming aggressive and violent towards site personnel, guests, clients and other people at the site.

Behavioral Safety Hazards

Our trained Safety Patrol personnel are adept and recognizing and dealing with behavioral safety hazards such as aggressive and/or violent behavior, as well as how to summon assistance to deal with this type of hazard. Behavioral safety hazards are psycho-social in nature, and must be dealt with swiftly and decisively, as these hazards can cause trauma to workers, clients, guests, and other people at the site.

Unauthorized Persons On-Site

Our Safety Patrol personnel actively look for persons who are not authorized to be onsite.  Detecting and evicting unauthorized persons is a critical aspect of site safety as they may be injured by hazards originating from the site, or they may cause hazards that may be injurious to tenants, clients, guests, workers and other people at or near the site by:  a) damaging property and rendering it hazardous;  b) not complying with site policies which may result in a hazard being created onsite; and c) behaving aggressively or violently towards tenants, guests, clients and workers.

In today’s world, the safety of residential areas have become more critical than ever. With increasing concerns about personal and property safety, communities are seeking effective solutions to ensure the safety of their homes and loved ones. Safety Patrol services have emerged as a proven and proactive approach to enhance the safety of high-density residential facilities and communities.

The presence of Safety Patrol personnel serves as a strong deterrent against unsafe behaviors and activities onsite, and discourages unauthorized persons from coming onsite and potentially causing hazards, reassuring residents of their safety.  This constant vigilance communicates a clear message that the area is well-protected. The visibility of Safety Patrol personnel can also provide peace of mind to residents. Knowing that Safety Patrol personnel are just a moment away allows community members to go about their daily lives with an enhanced feeling of safety and confidence.

Safety Patrol services represent a comprehensive and dynamic approach to ensuring the safety of high-density residential areas and communities. Their visible presence deters unsafe and unauthorized behavior onsite while offering peace of mind to residents, supported by rapid, measured responses when incidents occur. Financially, these services present an affordable yet effective option, reducing long-term costs related to safety liability and property damage. Most importantly, safety patrols foster trust and engagement within the community, encouraging residents to actively participate in maintaining a safe neighbourhood, promoting a safer, more resilient living environment.

Safety patrols in seniors assisted living and retirement residences offer numerous benefits, including enhanced facility and resident safety, crucial support for residents' well-being and specialized needs and increased peace of mind for both residents and their families.

Safety & Hazard Identification, Visible Deterrence: Safety Patrol personnel inspect all areas, including common rooms, hallways, parking lots, and external perimeters. They look for safety hazards as well as potential maintenance issues like broken lights or trip hazards, addressing issues proactively.  Safety Patrol personnel conducting both regular and unpredictable patrols create a strong visual deterrent to unauthorized persons coming on-site, persons behaving in an unsafe manner or doing unsafe activities onsite, reducing the likelihood of incidents.

Rapid Incident & Emergency Response: Safety Patrol personnel are trained to respond swiftly to various emergencies, including medical incidents, fires, or safety hazards. Their on-site presence can be vital in de-escalating stressful situations and behavior, providing critical support before first responders arrive.

Wander Management & Wellness Checks: Safety Patrol personnel can monitor for residents who may be at risk of wandering off the premises and gently guide them back to safety. Safety Patrol personnel can perform regular welfare checks on residents, ensuring their well-being and promptly summoning aid for any care needs or unusual situations.

An environment where residents feel safe significantly reduces stress and anxiety, fostering a sense of comfort and independence. This peace of mind is invaluable for residents and reassures their families that their loved ones are in good hands, creating a safe, stable and welcoming environment for senior living communities.

Convenience Stores, Liquor Stores, Cannabis Stores and Gas Stations are commonly open later than most other businesses. They are usually staffed with minimal personnel and are sometimes situated in high-risk areas of the city.  This makes these sites higher risk than others, and requires a greater level of safety measures to ensure the safety of the workers and property.

Regular scheduled and random safety patrols ensure that Safety Patrol professionals visit these sites to ensure the safety of your personnel, compliance with safe conduct policies on-site and act as a deterrent to unauthorized persons coming onto the site or behaving in an unsafe manner.

This reduces potential liability exposures to the owners and managers of these types of sites, and demonstrates a commitment to the safety of the workers and members of the public that work at, and visit these sites.

24-Hour Live Video Monitoring

Partnering with Alarm Monitoring Center Inc. (AMCI), OLS Consulting Group Inc. (OLSCGI) offers a variety of video monitoring services.

AMCI's Central Monitoring Station (CMS) is equipped with state-of-the-art video and two-way audio technology.

This virtual audio and video solution secures your property for a fraction of the cost of a stationed Safety Patrol Agent. Video signals are received over the internet in real-time for immediate dispatch and video review.

Monitored camera systems are proven to have higher rates of maintaining site safety and integrity as they are monitored real-time by a live person who dispatches Safety Patrol personnel to the client site. Safety Patrol personnel are then able to arrive on-site in coordination with monitor personnel to quickly address identified or potential hazards and other potential sources of liability for property owners or worksite owners and managers. This results in a greater deterrent to site and policy non-compliance and unauthorized persons on our clients' private property.

As partners in client site and community safety, Alarm Monitoring Center Inc. (AMCI) offers:
